2012 TRAIL DAYS
Pitch in to help out your local trails
Saturday, July 14, 2012: Three areas need our help. Organized by the Friends of Kananaskis.
Canmore Nordic Centre – improving and repairing bike/running trails used for the 24 Hours of Adrenaline race course. Medium to heavy work, for a crew of 20 or more. This is a critical work in a sensitive area that sees a high volume of traffic.
Horseshoe Loop/ Cougar Creek– rerouting a section of Horseshoe Loop by bridging poorly drained lowpoints. Medium work, for a crew of 8. Fun work in another multi-use, high traffic area that doesn’t normally get a lot of attention.
Elbow Valley/ Bragg Creek– continuing with cutting a new hiking trail linking Fullerton Loop with Ranger Ridge. Medium to heavy work for a crew of 8. This is part of the new trails development linking West Bragg Creek and involves a beautiful 1 hour hike to (and from) the work site.
